I'm Going on Vacation
Well, not really, but I am taking a break from blogging. "What?" you may say. "You just had a break from blogging." This is true, but I also had an unwanted break from writing. 2010 has not gotten off to a very productive start for me. We had the sickness and surgeries in January, and the computer issues last week. I'm way behind on where I want to be with my manuscript.
That being said, starting next week, I will re-post a series I did back in November on The Fire in Fiction by Donald Maass. For some of you, this will be new. For others, it will be review. Either way, I think you could benefit from it. I just reread the book this past weekend, and I came away even more inspired than I did the first time.
For those of you who read my posts the first time around and have since read the book, I'd love for you to pipe in with your opinions and what you learned from the book. Everyone sees something different. This is why we can learn from each other. For those of you who haven't read the book, GO BUY IT NOW! You won't be sorry.
Despite my lack of new posts, I will be around to all of your blogs. Have a fantastic weekend!

Ohh we all need a lil break. I'm was here for the first installment but I did learn alot from it. I'm writing my first run-through of a manuscript now so I will gladly read anything that'll help. I hope you & your family are feeling better!! =)
I know how you feel girlie! Send me an email if you get a chance and tell me your status!
Own it. Looking forward to the reread. Hope you have a productive break.

Good luck with your manuscript! I'm in a similar place, Susan.
Have a good, productive vacation :)
I know what you mean, Susan.
I decided to try to write 10 pages a day for the next 10 days. I'll have another 100 pages of my WIP done. I have to do it.
I hope your time is productive.
And, those pieces you did w/The Fire in Fiction were top of the line!!
I hope you get tons of work done! I hope the rest of 2010 shapes up a bit better for you!
I definitely benefited from your Fire in Fiction posts.
Get some good work done!
Happy writing. Loved the flip flops.
Happy blogging vacation, Susan!

Have a nice break! I'm a newby, so looking forward to what you have in store next.
Good luck with your vacation, hope it's productive!
Best of luck getting some work done... I totally hear you on 2010 not being conducive to writing. *Sigh*. See you soon!
Have a great weekend and good luck getting some much needed writing done!
Oh, yay! That was a fantastic series. I'll enjoy re-reading them, Susan. I hope your week is productive.
I hope you're on track now and that nothing interferes with your fabulous work to be. God bless as you "catch up" and I hope you have smooth sailing from now on.
I'm thinking of a blogger break too, just for a little while. Have a great time on your break. May the writing muse be with you. =)
Hi, Susan. After your previous highlights from The Fire in Fiction I bought the book and read it. I like how he backs up everything with examples from novels - it shows you what he means - literally.
Enjoy your "time off" : )
Susan, thanks for putting me in your blog list! Fun! I'll be sure to see if I can find a copy of that book. I think I missed your first series for it in Nov., so hopefully I can catch it this round! Hope the writing and health and computers cooperate more fabulously this month!
Enjoy your break. I hope it is super productive!
enjoy your break and I hope you accomplish all that you set out to do.
Love to you

Enjoy your break! I hope it's productive and gets your year back on track. :) I'll be looking forward to catching up on the series. I'm always game to learn something new.
Smile!,
Sarah
Sometimes you gotta just take a break.
Your dedication is so admirable. Hang in there, and remember that lots of us love your words and support you fully. Can I make you a cup of tea?
Looking forward to revisiting The Fire in Fiction. It's fantastic! Have a great weekend.
Enjoy your time, Susan! Rock that WIP.
I understand being behind.... Enjoy working on your manuscript.
Your writing has to come first. I didn't read all your posts on the Fire in Fiction. I look forward to reading them!
Way to recycle! :) Good luck with your MS.
May your blogging break be a fruitful time for your manuscript. It is good to know when to unplug.
I hope it's a productive week for you. Best of luck!
You better not be reading this yet!
Enjoy your break!
Pound those keys.
Enjoy your bloggy vacation - I loved the posts about "The Fire in Fiction" - and I did read it since then ;o) We all need a break sometimes - it's good that you noticed the need. Good Luck with your MS ;o)
There just isn't enough time! Yes, I've had to limit my blog time. I read once-a-week now to catch up. I'm just not getting my projects done.
I hope you're having a great break Susan! It's such a great thing to detach from the internet every once and a while. Happy writing.
