There's A Time For Everything
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know this is a picture repeat, but that's me trying to maximize time and minimize stress. So, back to the title of this post--There's A Time For Everything. You know what time it is for me? Well, it's time to get organized. My writing time is sporadic, my workspace is a disaster, and my blogging is, at best, occasional. This isn't like me. I'm normally more on top of things.
That being said, my goal this weekend is to get organized in all aspects. I plan on blocking out writing time, doing a complete overhaul of my workspace, and initiate a new blogging schedule. I'm thinking of a wordplay thing like this:
Monday's Miscellanea--a day when you never know what you're going to hear from me, but it certainly will be interesting (I hope).
Tuesday's Tips--a day when I will share with you something I've learned on my journey thus far.
Wednesday's Websites--a day when I will share an interesting/helpful website or blog I've come across recently.
Thursday's Thoughts--a friendly day of debate where I will share my thoughts on a timely topic and ask for your feedback.
Friday's Fluffs--a day of fluffy inspiration. (We all need that, don't we?)
I thought I'd give this a try as I attempt to get back into a regular blogging routine. Please keep in mind that this is all subject to change, but for now, this is my plan.
So, what do you think? I'd love your feedback (good or bad).
On another note, my aunt passed away Wednesday after a long battle with Alzheimer's. All of us who loved her are both saddened and thankful that she is now in a better place. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers as we lay this wonderful women to rest. We will do so with a mixture of tears and smiles.
And, now, on a happier note, have a great weekend!

Oh, I'm sorry about your aunt.
As for your blogging schedule, maybe it isn't necessary to aim for five days a week? My goal is three these days. I was doing more last year, but it led to total burnout.
Sorry about your aunt. My grandmother had it and it was painful to see her in the end.
Great job on getting organized!!! :O)
So sorry to hear about your aunt -- I'll keep your family in my prayers.
I know what you mean about getting organized, too... I feel so dysfunctional about my writing these days. I like your blogging schedule too, though I admit to gasping a little at the thought of a five day regular schedule! I have enough trouble with three days sometimes. Heh. But I like your topics, and I can see how some would be quick & fun to write.
Good luck in getting back into a routine!
Sorry to hear about your aunt - you'll be in my thoughts.
I like your idea of a themed schedule and I hope it works well for you. I, too, have to start scheduling my time better if I ever plan on completing my manuscript. Good luck!
Praying for your family, for sure. An overhaul always feels good - I'm sure you will feel a ton more productive (cleaning does that for me). I think your schedule sounds precious...looking forward to reading! Missed you!
I am so sorry for your family about your aunt. It is never easy no matter what the circumstances.
It seems like blogging five days a week would be a killer! I can barely keep up with two!
I'm sorry about your aunt, but like you said she is in a better place now.
I like the topics you chose so I'll look forward to checking them out. There's no way I could do five days a week. I used to do three days and now I'm doing good to get one day in.
Sounds like a great schedule. I have an aunt that recently passed away after a long bout with Alz. We rejoiced that she was in a better place. Her life at the end was particularly difficult. My heart goes out to your family.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but I know you are right, she is in a better place.
I love your list of daily blogging, I think that's a great idea! Have a fantastic weekend Susan!
Sorry to hear about your aunt. I'll be thinking of you!
And I like the idea of organizing blog posts by subject/weekday. I try to do WiP Wednesday sometimes, and I tend to stick to book reviews and recommendations on Tues/Thurs.
Have fun with it, and know I'm not going to freak out if you decide post tips on a Firday instead of a Tuesday. ;)
Oh my, Susan. So sorry for your loss! Glad there are smiles with the tears, and hope for a better place!
And my, you're ambitious!!! 5 days of blogging, plus writing, organizing, etc.? Wow!!! What an inspiration you are! I hope I can keep up! :)
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Susan. (I wrote like five things here and deleted them because I never know what to say).
As far as lists and planning, it always reminds me of one of my favorite sayings of all time 'We make plans..God laughs'
I couldn't be as organized if I tried. But I admire your ambition! (-:
I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I had an aunt die from Alzheimer's many years ago and I think watching them deteriorate is the hardest part.
Why don't you give yourself an easier blog schedule, like MWF? Then you don't stress yourself out trying to come up with a blog post every day. Just a thought :)
My grandmother had that too and it wasn't easy at the end! Sorry!
I'm trying to form some kind of blogging schedule too. My brain is working on it!
My grandmother has had Alzheimer's for several years. Three years ago, she suffered a stroke and has basically wasted away. We don't know why she's still going and will be thankful when all the related suffering is finally at an end.
On a happier note, sounds like a fun blog schedule! Good luck!
Sorry about your auntie!!!
And I'm in awe that you're going to blog every single day! Ack!!! You go girl. Wear some comfy shoes. ;)
Please know I'm praying for you and your family. I loves ya Susan. So sorry for your loss.
The schedule sounds too ambitious for me, but you CAN do it. (However, if you are planning on blogging in jammies then it's even doable for me.) ;)
And I'll be here as much as I can. Sounds like a great plan, my friend. Can't wait.
I always said you were my hero. :)
*hugs*
Do what you feel is best for the direction you want the blog to go and for what you want to get out of blogging. That's all that anyone should expect from any blog.
I'll be thinking of you and your family and sending huge hugs your way! :)
Love your new organized schedule. LOL Do one for me!! I can't seem to get it together. At all. I've been putting my writing and other areas are showing for it. No, burned pasta, but definitely nites of take out! ;) (Your previous post was too cute!)
I'm very glad to see ya back in cyberland. Miss ya, lady! :)
I think I blogged the same thing about a month ago about setting time aside to write, finding a good spot for my writing, and trying to blog things more interesting than the mundane life of US. :) I like the word play idea. That will for sure have you trying to blog daily... people would be upset if you skipped Friday Fluffs! Good luck with your organizing... Some days mine works and others it just doesn't. :)
Sorry about you aunt, Susan. :(
Your blogging schedule sounds great. I'll have to remember that you blog at a later time than me. I always miss your posts in my dashboard. And I don't want to miss them. :D
Sorry about your aunt, my husband's grandma died of the same disease.
On to something happier. I love your names for the days and can't wait to hear some fluff, thoughts, and tips.
Sorry to hear about your aunt.
Wow! I love your goals for Saturday. I need to get organized.
Your family will be in my prayers.
I like the blog topics you've chosen. Congrats on re-organizing.
I wish I could be organized - everytime I try to do that, I go offtrack and cater-wonky! - your comment on my blog about sticking things between your front teeth made me laugh! ....
But - *hugs* to family in honor of your Aunt.....
Ooo, they all sound so good. I especially like Mondays and Thursdays. Hope all of your organizing goes well. And have fun.
So sorry for your loss LW. Alzheimers took my dear Nana.
Kudos on your new blog line-up. If you get a spare moment, please pull out a pair of your big boots and give me a swift kick in the you know what... miss ya :)
Prayers and peaceful hearts to your family. Organization is key to completing tasks, but it's also okay to not get all done when life throws us a few obstacles. Your schedule sounds great!
When you are getting back into something, a schedule can be a good idea. Like for me, when school starts, I can't remember to do much of anything....so important things like feeding the fam get left by the wayside unless I have some kind of a schedule:
Mondays: Crockpot Night
Tuesdays: Salad Night
Wednesdays: Sandwich or Burrito Night (Made from Crockpot left overs)
Thursdays: Breakfast for Dinner Night
Fridays: Soup Night
I am not rigid or anything, but it helps me to remember what I am going to do.
So sorry to hear about your aunt, Susan. We said more than our fair share of farewells this year (at least in my humble opinion)to some dear friends and family members. But I must agree, it is a comfort to know they are in a better place.
As for your potential blogging theme/schedule, it ROCKS! I could never keep up a daily pace like that--I'm way too slow! But I love your topic ideas and look forward to checking it all out.
