Shoe Cake Anyone?
As many of you already know, I celebrated my 100th post a couple of weeks ago. I had deleted a few posts, so on record, it was only my 88th post. Well, today, it is official. According to Blogger authorities, this is my 100th post, and my side bar even says so.
Because I love parties, and I hit 200 followers this week, something I never imagined possible and am so grateful for, we are celebrating again. This celebration is in honor of you, my blogger friends. So, kick off your shoes, grab a piece of cyber shoe cake, and enter my very first drawing ever.
Just leave a comment telling me the title and author of a book you really, really, really want to read but do not already own. On Sunday, at high noon (I always wanted to say that), one of my little pests, who most people like to call children, will draw a name from a bucket. The lucky winner will be announced on Monday and will receive the book they named in the comment (as long as it's available and not some collector's edition that costs a fortune, that is).
I want to say thank you to all of my followers, commenters, and occasional stopper-byers. You've made my blogging experience more than I ever expected it to be. I love you guys!
Have a great weekend! And if you want to order a cake like that or some other novelty cake, visit cakecentral.com.

Happy 200 Followers Post!!! Heehee... and that cake looks pretty tasty. Then again, I'll eat just about anything that's covered in icing, so not really a surprise there.
A book I really, really want to read but don't currently own? At this moment in time it's Suzanne Collins' 'Catching Fire'. I read the first book last week and I'm *still* thinking about it! What a compelling story. I definitely recommend 'Hunger Games' to anyone who hasn't managed to stumble across it yet.
Thanks for a fun & informative blog, Susan :)
Congratulations Susan!
I love your blog, and I have gained such insight from your posts. Keep up the good work, your creativity and passion shine through each reading. I am happy to follow!
My book of choice is a craft book.
James Scott Bell- "Plot & Structure"
Thanks so much!
Susan, you deserve the following. Congratulations!
I'll pipe up with Mennonite in a Little Black Dress by Rhoda Janzen. It's a new one I can't wait to get at!
Happy weekend, lazy writer. ;)
Congrats on all the followers. You deserve it.
A book I am meaning to buy is Peter & Max: A Fables Novel, by Bill Willingham.
Congrats on 100!
I'll have to think about the book part.
Happy 112th! (?) I'll take a slice of that shoe!
Stephen King's On Writing - So many of my followers keep recommending it. Or your favorite craft book! Will it come with a pair of shoes? ;)
I bow to your prolific majesty, Susan.
As to the book? I'd have to go with "Extraordinary Engines: The Definitive Steampunk Anthology" by Nick Gevers (as if that selection surprised you).
Congrats on 100 posts and 200 followers, that's awesome.
I have two books
Stephen King's - On Writing - for the same reason lily said.
The Maze Runner - James Dashner (have heard great things about it)
Oh, wow, you threw me for a loop. I thought Cake Wrecks had posted twice today. But this cake is fabulous! And I'm so not disappointed that it was your post.

I'm dying to read Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Just came out on this week. Cool idea for a contest!
Wow, Susan, congrats on your posts and your followers. Your blog has been very inspirational to me as I learn to share my blog with the world, and I appreciate the time you put into it.
What an amazing giveaway, too. It's cool to see what other people have been dying to read.
The one book I want right now but don't yet own is Janice Hardy's The Shifter.
Congrats on 100 again! And 200!!!!
I'm gonna have to go with Steven King's On Writing too.
Congrats on officially hitting post 100! If you were a sitcom, you could now go into syndication. ;) Great contest, but I will refrain from listing a book. You're a beta reader for me, that's gift enough.
Congratulations! The cake looks yummy! Must. Stop. Licking. The. Screen. I'd really like Stephenie Meyer's The Host.
Woohooo, Susan! Congrats!!!! That cake looks AMAZING!!!

I've been interested in reading The Time Traveler's wife by Audrey Neffenegger since I recently saw the movie. But I've also heard good things about Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series and I haven't read any of that either.
Have a great day!
YAY! Congratulations!
I'd like to read The Maze Runner.
And that cake looks AWESOME!!! My sister decorates cakes and I think I'll have to show her this one.
Congrats on 100 and congrats on 200! Both great milestones.
I don't have a book I'm dying to read that I don't own, I'm too impulsive!
MUCH LOVE!
Happy 100th post! Exciting!
I'd really like to read Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
100th post? Sweet! And 200 followers, amazing. If I could have any book I wanted, I think I would want Josi Kilpack’s 2nd cozy, English Truffle. Her first book was awesome. =)
You're awesome Susan! Congrats
I love the cake! I'll bet it's chocolate...yummy!
Congratulations. You are so kind to be giving out a dream book. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm not putting any books on the list. I have a tower--a leaning, monstrous tower--of to-be-reads still!
Have a great weekend!
Congratulations on all counts!
Ack! Most of the I Must Have Or Die have yet to be released. >.< Ah. Just thought of one. The Man that Mistook His Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks. Neurological disorders fascinate me. :D
I picked the right time to start following you -
I am choosing Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenedies. I probably spelled the author's name incorrectly. I hope I am not disqualified! :)
Wow - what a fantastic contest and how super nice of you.
Hmm - I've read this one but lost my copy of it: "Bird by Bird" by Anne Lamott.
:-)
Jenna

Congratulations and thanks for the lovely piece of cake!
I'm totally spoiled, I tend to order the books I want right away, or at least add them to my Amazon wish list for the next order. But I hope someone who isn't as fortunate wins this contest, Susan.

How fun! I love your blog. :)
I'd like Paper Towns by John Green. That's one I've wanted to read for awhile and think I'd like to keep.
I just wanted to party, but I won't enter the comp--I don't want you to have to fork out international shipping.
BTW, that's a rockin' cake. Dibbs on the heel.
Congratulations on 100 posts. And good posts, I might add.

Susan!! Did you make that cake? That is too cool! Have you ever seen the Cake Boss on TLC? That cake reminds me of that show. Let's see, a book I want to read...just one? lol! Right now I'm itching to get my hands on Francine River's new title, A Lineage of Grace. It looks fascinating. Have a wonderful weekend!
